Black Friday at HCACC

The Black Friday adoption campaign is coming back soon! Black dog and black cat syndrome really does exist! Historically black pets are overlooked more often than any other color. There are so many speculations as to why this is true, but one very real and simple explanation is that they are typically harder to see and harder to photograph. We have talked to a variety of people and gotten so many different reasons why they choose not to have a black pet, some as simple as fleas are harder to see.

We hope we are entering a new age! Black pets are just as amazing as any other! Our home shelter will start having reduced cost adoptions on Black Friday’s! Stay tuned for details!
